Editorial
Dear readers,
13 junior scientists completed their doctorates at the University of Education Weingarten last year. At present, 127 doctoral candidates are conducting research at the university. With the Weingarten Graduate School, the university has created attractive support services for them. In this newsletter, we would like to take a closer look at the journey towards completing a doctorate.
As part of the Annual Academic Celebration, several awards were once again presented: the Teaching Award to Junior Professor Dr. Steve Kenner, the DAAD Prize to Olga Sidorova, and the Gender Prizes to Katharina Brutsch and Lotta Betz. The commitment shown by the prize-winners sets an example for others and helps to spark enthusiasm for studying, research and knowledge transfer at the university.
You can find out more about the projects and work of the prize-winners in the first english edition of our newsletter for research and transfer.
We hope you enjoy reading it and gain many interesting new insights.
