The workshop was conducted with students, and provides a step-by-step introduction to the creation of stop-motion videos. This workshop can also be carried out with other learning groups.

Module Manual 2022-2024 (ValiDE Study Course)
We have developed a three-week exchange program for the ValiDE study course and tested it in the years 2022-2024. We have collected the workshop content for the content implementation, time scope, etc., which can be used for the exchange program but also for the teaching of Values in Democracy Education, in this module manual. It is a collection that provides an overview as a working paper. We are happy to answer any further questions you may have about the content and implementation.

Seminars on Values in Democracy Education
We have developed three seminars and tested them in the years 2022-2024, which can be used for content preparation for the exchange program but also for teaching Values in Democracy Education. As these could not be finalized as OER during the project period, they are currently available on request.

Criteria Catalogue
We have developed a criteria catalogue for the students' teaching material, which was created as part of the three-week exchange program in 2023. This catalogue of criteria provides an overview as a working paper. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions about the content and implementation of the catalogue.
ValiDE Teaching Material for Primary Schools
In the ValiDE exchange programs 2023 and 2024, the students developed teaching materials for primary school with the support of the project partners. These are available as OER in English, German, Norwegian and Polish.
The stop-motion workshop is only available in English. The videos provided, which were created in the workshop with students from the ValiDE exchange program, can be used for value education with pupils in primary schools.

ValiDE Handbook v1 - draft collection
In order to share our first results with the community of practice, we have created drafts of our project results. We will compile these in a first version of the ValiDE handbook v1 by the summer 2024. We are looking forward to publishing the ValiDE handbook and other results on EPALE. You can already find our first blog posts for discussion here.

Poster ECER 2023
The presented poster from the ValiDE team at ECER 2023 is now available. It covers our exchange program titled "Values in Democracy Education - Integrating a Joint Study Program in Teacher Education to Foster Teacher Students' Competencies and Beliefs".
ValiDE Travelbooks
The travel books offer a first insight into the project result 04, which is about the development of our study course. our centrepiece is the three-week exchange. In addition to the preparation in an online course, in which the students get to know each other and work together on initial topics, the travel books give them a rough summary and idea of what to expect. Students will find the detailed workshop content in a weekly plan with their tasks and weekly goals.

Multiplier Event: Teaching materials for value education at Stiftelsen Arkivet

Targeting local organizations, the objective is to present the work and results, promoting both the topic and the exchange program. The event has to be poostponed to January 2025 due to health circumstances. We are pleased that Kristiansand commune is supporting us in meeting principals and teachers from local schools.

Following the TPM6 in Krakow, the ValiDE project team took the opportunity to present the results in the scientific seminar „Education for Democratic Values – An Intercultural Analysis“ at UKEN.
Transnational Project Meeting – 06

The Project Team had meet at UKEN in Krakow for the last transnational project meeting (TPM). Focus on the meeting was conclusions. To find them a big analysis of the outputs was topic for the final sprint.

"Teaching scenarios and materials for value education at Global Ethic Foundation"
Representatives from regional schools were invited to learn about the project „Values in democracy education“ and the project result 3, teaching materials and scenarios for value education, including the work results from the international student course.
Representatives from the Global Ethic Schools (i.e. Weltethos-Schulen) were also invited to present how value education on the basis of a Global Ethic (i.e. Weltethos) is approached in their schools. In workshops the participants learned about „Common values in democracy education: Best practices from Global Ethic Schools“ directly from representatives (headmasters, teachers, school social workers) of GE Schools. In further workshops the participants made use of project result PR 3 in order to establish their own strategy of value education at their own schools.

Seminar: Democratic values in education (Multiplier Event)
20.09.2024
ProHarmonia invited the leaders of specific ValiDE PRs to present the results of their work. Teachers and students of teaching faculties took part in the seminar. ProHarmonia organized the seminar in cooperation with prof. Katarzyna Potyrała. The event was an online seminar.
One module was addressed to the staff of universities , presenting them the report on the activities and evaluation of the project. The second module was aimed at primary school teachers from Poland, presenting them scenarios developed by students that will be able to use in their work. They were also invited to develop these scenarios and to co-create new educational materials.

EARLI SIG 11 & 13 conference 2024

Multiplier Event
The multiplier event took part connected to EARLI SIG 11 & 13 conference 2024. UEW together with the other university partners of the consortium carried out a symposium on the theme of value attitudes and development of competencies in teacher education and discussed the findings of the empirical study conducted during the project with other researchers of the scientific community. The symposium offered the opportunity to boost the concept of trans-national exchange and cooperation. After the symposium, ValiDE invited the scientific community and the community of practice to an in-depth exchange. This allowed deeper insights to be gained, discussions to be held, practical experience to be exchanged and new collaborations to be initiated.

Presentation of the Erasmus+ results at UIA
Target group: Primary and secondary school leaders, with the objectives of presenting the project results for their further utilization.

The ValiDE project targeted various groups in creating its results: the scientific community (PR1, PR2), teacher education organizations and educators (PR1; PR2; PR3; PR4), schools and teachers (PR3; PR4), teacher students (PR1 and PR3), and NGOs (PR3 and PR4).

The ValiDE project was part of the Saturday University in Kristiansand City (Multiplier Event national). The title: Democratic values are weakening – How can education play a role? Everyone interested in values and democracy was welcome. The project presented research results to the science community (and the community as a whole) for the dissemination of findings and further research. ValiDE conducted a quiz with questions about democracy (for young children, older children, and adults on the airport screen). Democratic values in education
The event was an online seminar (or was conducted in a hybrid format at ProHarmonia) promoting the results of the project. One module addressed the staff of universities, presenting them with the report on the activities and evaluation of the project. The second module aimed at primary school teachers from Poland, presenting them with scenarios developed by students that they could use in their work. They were also invited to develop these scenarios further and to co-create new educational materials.

ValiDE at EARLI 2023
The ValiDE team participated in the EARLI 2023 conference, which took place from August 22nd to 26th, 2023, at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. EARLI (European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction) was a prestigious organization dedicated to promoting educational research and practice. During the conference, representatives of the team presented their paper titled "International partnership in cooperation for democratic values in primary education" through a poster presentation. This event provided an excellent opportunity for knowledge exchange, showcasing research findings, and networking with fellow professionals in the field of educational research.
ValiDE at ECER 2023
Representatives of the ValiDE team participated in ECER 2023 (European Conference on Educational Research), held at the University of Glasgow in Scotland from August 22nd to 25th, 2023, themed "The Value of Diversity in Education and Educational Research." They presented a poster on our exchange program, titled "Values in Democracy Education - Integrating a Joint Study Program in Teacher Education to Foster Teacher Students' Competencies and Beliefs." The conference provided a valuable platform for sharing our work and engaging with fellow researchers in the field.
